Manos Amigas House

 

Located on the property of one of the volunteers in Lomes de Poleo, the Manos Amigas house serves as a gathering place, a shelter, and a permanent reminder of the connection between us. Volunteers in Poleo use the house for monthly meetings with sponsored students and their families. The house also functions as a distribution center for beans and rice, school supplies, and Christmas gifts.

 

Volunteers from the Kansas City area live in the house during Vacation Bible School and other visits to Mexico. The association plays for utilities, upkeep, and improvements, Volunteers in Poleo provide the labor.
